It's About Time

We are almost ready. We will be taking the girls to my son's house. He and his wife Maria will be taking care of the girls. They were perfectly healthy till yesterday when Angie and Ashley woke up with a fever and cold. Doesn't this always happen? I want to thanks Dolores and Lynn for their comments. I am sorry if I have not answered you before but I am still trying to learn this computer thing. The only way I could think of writing to you was by making this new post.
I do not know if you guys know that Lizzie is not coming home with us. We were really heartbroken, she was absolutely beautiful but there was nothing we could do. She did not have her clearance. Nastya is coming home , we will be changing her name to Natalia Sophia. I thank you guys for your comments and please do pray for us and wish us luck.. LOTS AND LOTS OF HUGS! NANCY

Preparing for our trip.

Hi, my name is Nancy and have I had a hard time creating this blog! I have not used a computer for like 12 years and believe me when I say times have really changed!
We are preparing for our appointment of Feb-7-2008. This is actually our third adoption. We first adopted Ashley now 8 in 1999 from the U.S. she is (DS). Then in 2004 we went to Russia and adopted Irina now 6 and Angelica now 4. The trip to Russia was quite and adventure. It was like filming a remake of Doctor Zhivago without all that drama of course. We were waiting for the Syberia express at 10:00 P.M. at 19 below zero. We had to walk backwards because the wind was so strong that we could not breathe. At the end it was all worth it because we came home with the two most beautiful girls in the world. I have learned that in life the most precious things we cherish do not come easy, we have to fight for them and it is by doing this that we appreciate their real beauty that comes from within.

Preparing for our trip.

Hi, my name is Nancy and boy have I really had a hard time trying to create this blog! I have not used a computer for like 12 years and oh boy have times changed!
We have our appointment on Feb-7-2008 and we are getting ready for our trip. There seem to be so many things to do but I know that at the end everything gets done and all will be fine. This is actually our third adoption. We adopted Ashley now 8 here in the U.S. in 1999. Then in 2004 we traveled to Russia and adopted Irina now 6 and Agelica 4. The adoption in Russia was quite an adventure. It was like a remake of Doctor Zhivago with less drama of course. We found ourselves at 10:00P.M. in a weather of 19 below zero waiting for the Syberian Express. The wind was so strong that we had to walk backwards because we could not breathe, but at the end it was all worth it because we brought home the 2 most beautiful girls in the world.
We are looking forward to meeting our two little angels from Ukraine Nastya whom I beleive we will name Natalia and Lizzie. I feel blessed to be able to help this children that give us such joy.
I have learned that in life the things that we cherish the most do not come easy but it is this that makes us really appreciate the beauty within.
